Back in November we applied to join the ECO Stars Fleet Recognition Scheme and we were thrilled to find out that we were the 100th company in Glasgow to become a member.
The ECO Stars Fleet Recognition Scheme is a scheme built to help fleets like ourselves improve efficiency, reduce fuel consumption and emission, and make cost savings!
We’re thrilled to have gained access to the unique expertise and support that Eco Stars provide, and proud to announce that we got 4/5 stars in our initial efficiency assessment.
As we were the 100th Glasgow company to join the scheme, we were recently joined by Paul Wilkinson from ECO Stars and Colin Hughes from Sustainable Glasgow to celebrate Caledonian Couriers and Glasgow helping pave the way towards a more sustainable society.
When joining Eco Stars they provided us with roadmap of suggestions to how we can become even more efficient and eco friendly and thus achieve out fifth star.
With a good list of improvements suggested by the recognition scheme, we’re keen to take Caledonian Couriers to the next level.
We’ve already completed a course on fuel training via the Energy Saving Trust and are continuing to work through the list of suggestions to not only improve our business but minimise our carbon footprint.
As we work though our ECO Stars roadmap, we will make sure to keep you posted on our progress.
